Printing & Framing
All pieces are kept in original dimensions and printed on a custom fine art paper specially developed to match the texture of the original certificate. Prints are mounted behind a premium "passe-partout" mat that adds to the visual appeal of the piece. This is a stunning method of framing and the preferred choice of most artists and galleries for this size of prints.
Our premium frames are available in black, white, natural oak, and natural wenge. Each frame is handcrafted from premium, FSC-certified hardwood and glazed with museum-grade protective acrylic glass to ensure longevity. All pieces arrive with pre-installed hanging hardware for easy installation. Frames feature an elegant 0.6" (15mm) profile and measure 18.5" x 13.8" (47cm x 35cm).

Bank of England
Founded in 1694, the Bank of England was established during a period of financial instability exacerbated by King Charles II’s extravagant spending. In 1672, the king defaulted on substantial loans borrowed from London goldsmiths, who had served as private bankers to the Crown. The defaults eroded trust in the monarchy and left the government struggling to secure funding. England’s ongoing war with France added urgency to the crisis, prompting Scottish financier William Paterson to propose the creation of a central bank. Backed by a £1.2 million public subscription raised in just 12 days, the Bank was granted exclusive rights to lend to the government, laying the foundation for modern central banking.
Over the next two centuries, the Bank of England became the backbone of Britain’s financial system. The Bank Charter Act of 1844 granted it a monopoly on issuing banknotes in England and Wales, with each note backed by gold reserves to reinforce public trust. The Bank also cemented its role as the "lender of last resort," stepping in during the Panic of 1825, when highly speculative investing in fictitious Latin American nations caused widespread banking failure. These interventions not only stabilized Britain’s economy but also established the Bank as a global model for central banking practices.
Since 1734, the Bank has operated from its iconic Threadneedle Street headquarters, an enduring symbol of British financial authority. Its imposing building houses one of the largest gold vaults in the world, containing approximately 400,000 gold bars valued at more than £200 billion. These holdings make the Bank of England the second-largest keeper of gold after the New York Federal Reserve. In 1997, the Bank gained independence in setting interest rates, marking a turning point in its modern role. Today, it remains at the center of the UK economy, overseeing monetary policy, issuing currency, and safeguarding financial stability while continuing to influence central banks worldwide.
