Printing & Framing
All pieces are kept in original dimensions and printed on a custom fine art paper specially developed to match the texture of the original certificate. Prints are mounted behind a premium "passe-partout" mat that adds to the visual appeal of the piece. This is a stunning method of framing and the preferred choice of most artists and galleries for this size of prints.
Our premium frames are available in black, white, natural oak, and natural wenge. Each frame is handcrafted from premium, FSC-certified hardwood and glazed with museum-grade protective acrylic glass to ensure longevity. All pieces arrive with pre-installed hanging hardware for easy installation. Frames feature an elegant 0.6" (15mm) profile and measure 18.5" x 13.8" (47cm x 35cm).

THE COLLATERALIZED MORTGAGE OBLIGATION
Salomon Brothers and First Boston engineered collateralized mortgage obligations (CMOs) in the early 1980s to provide a new source of funding for the mortgage market. Traditional mortgage-backed securities (MBS) were ill-received by investors due to their unpredictable cash flows. By creating CMOs, these banks were able to package and sell mortgage securities in a more predictable and flexible way that met the needs of a wider range of investors.
One of the key players in the growth of CMOs was Freddie Mac, a government-sponsored enterprise created to provide liquidity to the mortgage market. Freddie Mac was a major purchaser of CMOs, and by the mid-1980s, it had become the largest buyer of these securities. The growth of the CMO market allowed Freddie Mac to expand its operations and provide more funding to mortgage originators, which in turn helped to spur the growth of the overall mortgage market.
Freddie Mac played a critical role in the standardization of CMOs. In the early years of the market, there was no standardized way of structuring these securities, and each investment bank had its own unique way of creating CMOs. Freddie Mac worked with investment banks to develop a standardized set of rules for creating CMOs, which helped to make the market more transparent and easier for investors to understand.
The re-emergence of the CMO market in recent years has been driven in part by changes in the mortgage market. In the years following the financial crisis of 2008, the US government took steps to shore up the mortgage market, which has made it a safer place to invest. In addition, the Federal Reserve's low-interest-rate policy has driven investors to seek out higher-yielding securities, which has led to a renewed interest in CMOs.
